In a bid to scale up HIV/TB prevention and treatment for young people, MNYPA is working with PACE to establish anti- stigma cubs at both facility and community level. Yesterday we had our fist club meeting with adolescent and young women of Namatala HCIV in Mbale district. This club is dedicated to enroll other peers into the programme, they elected their leadership and a young mother in the name of Kakayi Anita merged as a club chairperson. This club will help to link young people to care for HIV, TB and Sexual Reproductive Health services through a number of facility and community activities aimed at attracting young people. MNYPA will be working with PACE to establish the other clubs in Bumandada at Bumandada HCIII, In Busiu at Busiu HCIV.Among the activities clubs will be doing includes conducting Youth community outreaches offering integrated youth services like TB screening, HIV testing and counselling, STI screening, Family Planning, GBV screening among others.The programme will support young people with vocational and other skills like liquid soap making, reusable pads making, candle, bakery among others.
